harddrive data recovery

i lost some data and i'm not to sure where it is. my good friend who is knows a lot about computers told me to check if my data is still on my harddrive. so i opened it up and i couldn't find anything.

the data i'm looking for is my dissertation which is due next week, could someone help me find it? it's gotta be somewhere in here! thanks in advance

    hehe i never got something THAT bad working tech support. i was bored so decided to take apart a harddrive that stopped spinning on me. thought i would add a little humor to this forum ;D

    I think it is one of those little chips on that circuit board.

    It's stored in the spiralcoptic marzelveins, which are powered by capacitive duractance. This power source is very sensitive to sinusoidal deplanaration, so be careful when you look for the data.
