AVG being a pain with Email

I guess this goes here...

I have the newest AVG running, I don't understand the settings for it so it's all default I would guess. I have Thunderbird for my email also, version 0.8, I may update it today(as I believe there is a newer one out).

Anyways, when I send an email I get a reply immediatly from localhost(me) being....

I changed some of it to protect who I was sending to and all that. It does the same thing to anyone I send out to. The only way I get emails out is by disabling the email scanner.

AFAIK it won't work with the default options. You have to edit the options but I forgot how since I haven't used it in awhile. From what I can remember, you have to set the ISP's email server info in AVG and direct the mail client to AVG (localhost). AVG downloads the emails, checks them and then sends it to the email program.
