This may be compelling enough for me to give it a try now. Hopefully others will also follow too. Are you listening excite?

I have been using this for a long time now, didn't they start this a few months ago?

Me too. For some reason, though, it doesn't download my folders properly. Like my spam, inbox, and other folders are all mixed to one. Maybe I missed something, maybe it's a limitation of POP3, but does anyone have any ideas?

Just FYI Thrax, if you didn't know already- your Domokun still has his santa hat on.

Mine doesn't dl the spam folder at all. Check your POP settings on the gmail site.

So does my smiley. I seem to have lost the original...

Anyway... I've been using POP3 for a long time now. I think it was available in like November, maybe earlier.

Yeah, I haven't looked at it at all in the 25 days since Christmas.

This news has been posted before by Prime back when they first announced this. I'm much tooo lazy to dig up the thread link though.

Call me when I can access my other POP3 accounts via my Google account (like Yahoo mail allows).

I don't think that it auto-downloads the spam folder because they assumed most people don't want the spam emails.

I have been using outlook to check my gmail but for whatever reason I have been unable to get it to send emails at all. I've followed gmail's set up tutorials but it always fails whenever I try to send an email through outlook. Anyone else have this issue / know of a fix? I am able to send emails no problem through an IMAP account I also have and I was having no issues using a gmail-pop go between program before they added the pop features directly into gmail.
