SpyBot Problem

I recently downloaded SpyBot Search and Destroy on my Dell laptop PC. After performing the first scan it said I had 87 problems, of which it fixed only after rebooting my computer. After rebooting it a 2nd time due to no desktop items, I am now getting error messages when I try and access my programs. The message states 'This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the Folder Options control panel.' I'm unable to do that, nor am I able to access the programs through the Start Menu nor can I perform a system restore. Please help!!! Many thanks!

    Chance are you removed the adware that certain programs came bundled with and now they won't function without it. What programs can't you use?
