I challenge anyone who reads this post to search for the cheapest laptop with these minimum specs:

512MB RAM
DVD/CDRW
20GB HDD

Post your findings here and if I pick yours, you will win a prize!!! :D

Let's run this thru the end of the month. I have $500 to spend and the lower the cost of the actual unit, the more you stand to gain. PM me for details!!!

    Circuit City have a Compaq Pressario Celeron 1.4m with 40GB and 512 of ram for $549 after the rebates.

    tiger direct has a dell Latitude C610 Intel Pentium 3-M 1GHz / 14.1-inch XGA / 256MB SDRAM / 20GB HDD / DVD-ROM for 599

    It is refurbished though. I don't know if you want that. I'll still be looking
