Weird Overwhelming amounts of Spyware

I was at one of my friends houses and her computer had become noticeably slow. She knows nothing about computers. So i saw she had adaware on her computer and i ran it, a lil way through it jus quit adaware...i also was unable to finish spybot some memory error. She has enough free hd space and i doubt any serious ram issue cuz it runs fine. Any other free spyware remover suggested software would help.
