Water!

My apartment has a sprinkler system so I am worried about my **** getting F*CKED UP! like really bad. I don't trust water :D

ANyways my question is... even though all my stuff stays plugged in, I turn my PC and Monitor off when not in use, if by some chance of my amazing fate the sprinklers go off, while everything is shutdown, should my stuff be ok? As long as I dry it out before turning it back on?

When your monitor's off, it's off.

When your computer's off, there's only a vague trickle of electricity (Less than the power of a hearing-aid battery), so you really don't have much to worry about.

It´s not the water itself that will ruin the stuff..it´s water that is contamined that will. Dust+Water, is a big NONO combined with electronics. Totally clean water won´t hurt anything as long as it STAYS clean.

To answer your q RWB: I would be very careful putting the system on for a long while if the sprinklers have drained it.

A few weeks ago, i totally soaked my 9700 Pro and i waited like 3 days before using it again.
