Socket 754 Sempron
Are these compatible with most all socket 754 boards or do they require special bios's that recognize them and crap? I mean its tough to even do a bios upgrade if it doesnt recognize the cpu and I hate pulling working box's apart to swap a cpu for 5 minutes etc..
Anbody heard much whining around the web about incompatibilitys with these sempron socket 754 cpu's?

It's worth checking with the mobo's website first to see if it shipped with Semprom by default. Most should do by now
Its a pain to pull my cpu out and put it in to see what version is onm the board though. Especially considering the current price of good paste and how much these cpu's with heat sinks use.

I have a 3200+ amd 64 in a msi neo now. I just don't want to have to pull it apart to flash the friggin bios in the new micro-atx thing-a-ma-jig I was buying the sempron for.
Will hope that the new one will at least recognize the semptron at a lower speed and at least boot to reflash until proven wrong anyway.
