AN7 board with 2500+ barton

edited January 2005 in Hardware
Hi all I have an Abit AN7 board upto date bios and a 2500+ cpu which is unlocked, I would like to know what is the best overclocking settings to use with this board bearing in mind all I have for CPU cooling is a Coolermaster Aero Jet 7+ with Arctic Silver 5 thermal paste.

I also have 512mb Crucial DDRPC3200 RAM Unbuffered Non-Parity just the cheap one lol.

Also any utilities to see how your PC performance is and something that lets you tweak it by any chance? Or self calobrates it for best performance?

And a little off but what is the best utility to overclock a Radeon 9800pro 128mb Gigabyte card with its normal fan?

Many thanks!!

Well the most obvious thing to do is obviously crank up your FSB speed to 200/400 and turn that little sucker into a 3200+. But that's not really an overclock. I'm guessing you've done that though right?

As far as specific settings go, I'm probably not the best person to help you with that. But if you really want to crank that thing up anything significant over 2.2GHz (for which just running your 2500+ as a 3200+ will get you that high), you'll need some better memory.
