All I simply want?
All I simply want to achieve is all internet access on my client PC’s to go through the (windows 2003 server) and not the ADSL router directly using RRAS not ICS.
All the necessary hardware is in place and working. Two NIC’s on the server one connected to the LAN (DHCPing the clients) the other connected to the ADSL router and going out to the net. Fixed IP’s on the server NIC’s and ADSL router. Tried having NAT on the router or on the server. Disabled the firewall. I have read the help files, forum threads, run wizards etc. Would someone please walk me through the procedure as I can not now see the wood for the trees?

So the internal nics are something like 192.168.0.1 thru 192.168.0.10 and set the NIC thats the gateway (to the router) to something like 192.168.0.100
win2k3 has a wizrd to setup routing. It's real easy. Just set that IP as the gateway on the clients. Is this a domain or workgroup? Your problem is that if you have been monkeying around with a bunch of other stuff you didnt need to jack with it can be messy to clean up again.
Start by running the wizard to setup routing on win2k3 and reboot. Then try setting the dns and gateway on the clients to that IP. reboot and see if you can connect.

Well I have jacked with most of it so it could be why it’s screwed!
Fixed IP’s on the server NIC’s (LAN 192.168.0.1) (Router 192.168.0.100). Client IP’s dished out from the same server DHCP Gateway also dished out. Now set to the same as server (LAN 192.168.0.1). Can’t be (Router 192.168.0.100) because the clients can’t see it only the server can. Routing and Remote Access. The properties of the server show “Router” and “Local area network (LAN) routing only” checked. And that’s it. Surely I need to set up in the “NAT/Basic Firewall” in order to link between the 2 NIC’s. OK I want to keep the NAT in the actual router for the moment so I do not have that checked but I need the link them not using a bridge because I want all net traffic to go through a single firewall.
