nf7-s flashing

edited February 2005 in Hardware
geez i feel like an idiot right now. i was watching tv and i wasnt paying attention to what i was doing and to cut to the point i flashed my m/b with the wrong bios update. i knew what i was doing because i done it lots of times before before but i just wansnt paying attention to what i d/l and flashd it with. My question is: Is it done for and rip it out or can i still fix it.

oh also i just get a black screen with No beeps, no video, power on, and that's it.

edit: now i just tryed it agin it turns on for a second before turning off agian. also have any of you guys heard about replacment bios chips? that would be much better on my wallet than a new m/b.

-- it hopeless i know, just want to be 110% sure before i rip it out and trow it away. This is going set me back money-wise for my new system i was saving for.:bawling: :bawling: --

thanks anyways

It's not hopeless. Order a new NF7-S BIOS.

Or if you are daring enough and have the same type of BIOS chip in another motherboard you can always hot flash it.

Tmod (a very respected member of several forums including SM) can re-program your bad chip or sell you a new one for a very reasonable price.

thanks for that info EQuito, ill keep it in mind. I tried calling an old friend from school that also had a nf7-s m/b so i could hot flash it but the search was useless. I tried to order a bios chip from excaliberpc.com but i coudnt order from them because the closed their order form. I ended up going with what thrax suggested.
late response i know but asking somebody around here to use their computer is like pulling teeth for them, anyways,

    thanks
