Does anybody have connections probs when using this router in mixed mode? My Netgear wireless B usb dongle can't connect to my network but laptop which has a Cisco b card has no problem & neither does my other pc which has a Belkin G card in it.

I've tried updating the dongle's driver but to no avail yet when I switch to B mode only it connects straight away.

Ideas anyone???

Cheers

Jim

Its having trouble staying connected? Try disabling the little signal strength utility. You don't need it and its caused connection problems with a wireless connection I helped fix in the past.

Well, I can't say for sure, since we only have G devices here, but they all work great. Try playing with the channels (sounds obvious, and you probably have, but mine worked great for awhile, then I had to play with it a few months later). Dunno what else to suggest :-/

Tried different channels, no change. :(.

Its not haveing trouble staying connected, it can't connect period, even though it can see the network & the strength is excellent. If I change it to ad hoc mode it can connect but not pick up an ip address. Change it back to infrastructure and it'll disconnect.

Getting really pissed off with Netgear products, they're a lump of sh!te.
