Downloaded music and iTunes

I've got a lot of downloaded music on my computer, and I'm gonna get an iPod Shuff. I'm wondering if iTunes will let me import these files into the program and put em on the iPod.

So.. will it work?

    u can just make a playlist of the songs on your computer, and then import that list into itune. and then make your ipod update songs auto according to that LIST.

    iTunes is super easy to import all of your music. Just click File--> add folder (or file) to library..... Then you can make a playlist to upload to your ishuffle.. easy breezy....

    I thought it had some rights managment built into it....?

    It's got DRM for music purchased from the iTMS, but you can still just import all of your old MP3s and whatnot into your library.

    if you burned the songs from imtunes to a cd and then back does it still have the rights management on... The thing is i bought some songs from itunes but i am getting a zen micro and so can i put these songs onto the micro?

    Now when the **** does the iPod Shuff come out?! I saw it on the Best Buy site, so I went over to the store to pick it up... not finding it. Later I went back to the site to see in small letters "coming soon".

    They've got it on the apple.com store, and if you're a student, there's usually a student discount on most of their stuff.
