bestfriends.scr- or something very similar
Hey there-
I've read quite a few posts from other members who seem to be having the same problem as me. I had clicked a link in a friend's AIM profile that read "Click here (the link/bestfriends.scr) !?!???!?!" (I didn't want to put the link on here in case someone else clicks it). Nothing popped up on my screen, but I knew that was going to have been a bad move. I ran my AdAware SE, however that hasn't solved any of the problems. From there out, when I sign onto AIM it automatically puts up an away message with that same "Click here" or "WTF LOOK" plus the link. When I close down the message, it just puts it back up. If I have my own away message, it replaces mine with the link. If I'm not signed online, I get an error message saying "The AIM hyperlink you've clicked on may require you to be online to work. Please log in first." & brings up the sign onto AIM window. It makes it very difficult to do anything on my computer b/c of that.

I went through the steps, but when I went through to Step 4 to search for the entries, none of those were listed. I typed them 2 times to be sure I'd spelt everything right, and still none showed up, so I'm not sure what's going on... If you guys could please help me with this that would be great! I don't want to be on AIM anymore until this is resolved b/c I don't want anyone else to have to deal with it. Can you guys please help??
