French hardware site X86-Secret has reviewed what looks to be Intel's upcoming Pentium 630, as well the Pentium 4 EE 3.73 GHz. Check it out.
The tweaked Pentium 4 600 series is not scheduled to be introduced to market for another few weeks, but the details of the architecture are largely known. The 600 series doubles the Pentium 4's L2 cache size to 2MB, officially supports x86 64-bit extensions, and features the NX (no execute) bit. A newer version of SpeedStep is also expected, but the frontside bus will remain at 800MHz. The Pentium 4 EE 3.73 is also close to release.
