    First you need to move Hijackthis out of your temp folder and into a permanent location on your system. Ex: C:\hijackthis


    Next I don't see an antivirus program running on your system. Do you have one? If not, please download AVG and install it.

    It's free for personal use. Install it, update it, and run a full scan.



    Reboot and post a new hijackthis log.

    i do have spybot but it doesnt seem to be able to fix these problems

    Spybot will remove spyware, but won't do a thing for most viruses and trojans, which is what you have. You need to have an antivirus program.

    Are you getting a yellow bar across the top of your browser when you try to download the file? If so, click on the yellow bar and you should get an option to allow the download.

    i dont get a yellow bar for this file, when it is 99% downloaded windows pops up a window saying it could be harmful to my compt and wont let me save or download, the process just stops there. windows doesnt let me download anything from any of my e-mail accounts, msn or the internet and i cant figure out how to change it but i used a program housecall but the files it found said non cleanable so it couldnt fix my viruses, i am so lost

    when i try to delete the files from in the window file a message comes up saying " acess denied, cannot delete file. make sure the disk is not full or rewrite protected, and that the file is currently not in use."

    Boot into Safe Mode (press F8 at the BIOS screen when booting) and delete them.

    Download Ad-aware SE from: http://www.majorgeeks.com/download506.html

    Install the program and launch it. First, in the main window, look in the bottom right corner and click on Check for updates now and download the latest reference files. Exit Adaware for now.


    Make sure that you can view all hidden files. Instructions on how to do this can be found here:

    Run Hijackthis again, click scan, and Put a checkmark next to each of these. Then close all other windows--you should only see HijackThis on your Desktop--and click the Fix Checked button.

    Reboot your computer into Safe Mode


    Then delete these files or directories (Do not be concerned if they do not exist)

    C:\WINDOWS\bxxs5.dll

    C:\WINDOWS\farmmext.exe
    C:\Program Files\Bpt


    Run a full scan with Adaware.

    Reboot your computer to go back to normal mode and post a new log.

    I tried downloading the thing from major geeks but it just stopped at 99% so i dont know what to do now

    Proceed with the rest of the fix as posted, just skip the step that you can't complete. Then post a new hijackthis log.
