You didnt mention the OS? If its win2k/XP try taking a peek in disk management and that will tell ya if the filesystem is fubar'd.

You have to have a valid FS to show in my computer.

You don't care about anything but disk manager. Its all that matters. The filesystem in place is so fubar'd disk manager can not recognize it. Depending on whats on it and how important the data is it can probably be recovered through recovery software if it's really important.

I can help you do this. Pm or email me or.....

If what was on there isnt that important you can go into disk manager and just format the drive again and your in buisness if that drive is still sound mechanicaly.

Question is WHY did this happen? And unless you OC or had power surges or ??? I am not sure WHY it hapened and we need to look at that.

Do you know if this was ntfs or fat32 or ?? Did anything unusual preceed this event? Computer crash or not shutdown right or???

    Tex
