Compatibility of DDR memory speeds?

I'm going to be buying some PC3200 memory to use in some computers I'm building, but the motherboards (Abit / Asus) say they are for PC1600 / PC2100 memory. Will the PC3200 memory slow down and run right at the lower speeds? I'd like to get 3200 so it can be used in the future in other faster computers. I'm also going to overclock the computers as much as I can.

It "should" work fine. Some motherboards are much pickier then others. Make sure you have the latest bios updates in place.

If you get faster RAM than you need or can run, it will just operate at a slower speed thats all.

You may need to manually set the memory speeds in the BIOS. Sometimes a mobo will not set them right.
