It was a little harder...

The following might be kind-of spoiling, but not really...

So, I just finished playing through HL2 again.

This time I did it on the 'hard' setting. It was noticeably harder, but not so tough that it stopped being fun. Some of the more difficult fights were balanced out by the fact that I already knew the layout of the levels.

I got nothing special for doing this. No splash screen congratulated me on defeating 'hard' mode, and no new difficulty mode became available. It was personally fulfilling to know that I had done it, but that was all.

Now I want to go back and play through HL:S. But I think I might wait and see if they release OF:S and BS:S, cause I would like to play them in direct succession.

Sweet. I want to play through HL:S as well, but there's no way for me to get it. Stupid Steam.

HL2 was easy on the 'hard' setting. the only game I've played recently that was actually challenging on hard (and im talking solely about FPS here) was FarCry on the 'realistic' setting. holy ****, you dont get headshots and you DIE

FarCry is a pain even on "Normal". That game can be soo frustrating it's stupid on normal.

I got to the final boss and just gave up. One of these days I'll just cheat my way out of it and see what happens at the end.
