EM3 is reading the wrong numbers.

I have folding@home 5.03 graphical (first choice in the download list) running on my main desktop system, which is an AMD Barton 2500+ @ 2200 Mhz with 512 MB.

It has always worked pretty good, aside from the occassional white screen and "folding has encountered an error and had to close" message, even though it still seems to be folding.

But I decided to try installing EM3 again only so I could see the point values of each work unit.

I managed to get EM3 installed on my dual CPU BP6, so I figured it'd be less of a problem this time.

So I downloaded and installed the newest version of EM3 and got it running, but it's not showing the right numbers for number of frames and progress % of each frame.

I can see the correct WU ID number code, and it shows the points, but right now I'm folding a 125 frame Gromac, and EM3 says it's a 100 frame. And the progress percentage bar of each frame doesn't do anything, it stays at 0.

What's wrong and how do I fix it?

I thought that since I installed it halfway through a work unit, it'd fix itself once a new work unit began. But that didn't happen.

Does it still show wrong numbers after it has completed two frames?

Try updating to the latest data file.

Yes, it still shows the wrong numbers.

EM3 doesn't show anything about how many frames have been completed, I have to look at the 5.03 graphical console to see that information.

Update WHAT data file? An EM3 data file? Any one in particular? Got a link?

Get the Latest EM Protein Data file from the Downloads section, unzip it, and copy it to the EMIII folder. :)

Are you sure you told EM3 to monitor the correct client?

as long as you have it pointing to the right folder on the network and the data file is current you should be all set.

When there is an updated data file, it will tell you when you open EM

As far as only reading 100, it's because it's 100% not how many frames.

If I remember the latest version of EM has problems reading some of the old units.(Timeless tinkers) least it did on one of my newly retired rigs.

btw, you only need to install EM on 1 machine if your on a network, you can monitor all of them from the 1.
