Will randomly do this for no raison.

Any help much appreciated

Also, if anybody knows how to get rid of the classic SHUTDOWN look when you click restart, and why it says Norton Antivirus (2005) cannot repair and install when I open up an Office 2003 document that would help to

Thanks!

memtest x86 says the ram is fine

when i put it the CPU down to 2500 and ram is at 333 no errors or anything

    Heres another BSOD i got

    DRIVERS_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

    Stop: 0x000000D1 (0x7FABFEE4, 0x00000002, 0x00000001, 0xB2E53518)

    afd.sys - Address B2E53518 base at B2E46000, DATE STAMP 4117EB5

Then it dumps the Physical Memory

    Any ideas on this?

The Nortons message says you got a virus it cant repair.

The bsod is often memory or can be driver/OS related.

You have provided no hardware or OS or driver version info so I am at a crossroads how to proceed?

Its like saying "I think my car is broke... somewhere in ohio ... I think....... Maybe not though...... is there a mechanic in the house for free PLEASE !!!.. But I don't know what kind of car it is.... or what year it was built.... or what motor it has but... HEY IT'S BLUE !!!! I got a blue car can ya fix it?

We are dedicated to trying our damndest to fix all the probs presented to us for nothing. We work for free and many of us have real jobs doing this for a sh*tload of money an hour. And your fix is for free. Because we.. Just love Ya man and we love what we do. We REALLY want to help ya!!!!

Please help us and state your current hardware and software... (all of it) that means hardware parts and OS and driver versions.. (yep all of them...)

Sorry to be a hassle but we really do need that info. I apologize in advance. If you take that computer to a local shop they want 2 or 3 hundred bucks to "fix" it (and I use that term loosely) and if you give us more info we will handle it for free!!!

You are lucky to have so many profesionals and very experianced other posters at your beck and call. This is a great site realy.

We enjoy helping people and only want your computer working right again.

    Help ! More info needed.

Norton Anti Virus does not support the repair feature, please uninstall and reinstall.

Then I click ok. And Word is there.

    No virus.

I disabled the office plug in (thought I already did that) now no errors with office 2003.

Got rid of the Protection on MSN Messenger and also that runs fine now.

    Runs fine at 3200 with 1 x PC2700

    No problems

Now trying each stick in each slot individually (PC3200 running at 400, on other PC running at 333 no problems, and no problems on this running at 333)

Its either the memory (either stick) or perhaps the motherboard

    Thanks

When I underclock the RAM everything is fine, it is only since I changed the RAM have I had any errors (I upgraded a few things at the same time)

It was running fine for a while then i got the following (left it on over night, checked it this morning)

    multiple_irp_complete_requests

    0x00000044 (0x805500D0, 0x00000D62, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)
