Haven't posted any of my work in a while, so I thought I'd show a flower I recently made in Maya.

Yea, I'm not positive if the petals got left out or not. The angles are kinda extreme, and how I set stuff up with the lighting and ground plane wasn't the best so I didn't fool around with it too much. It came out good enough so I just left it, but I think you're probably right.

It's all nurbs. the stalk is an extruded curve. the leaves and petals are nurbs planes. the center of the flower is another nurbs plane that was sculpted.

It looks like the petals are there, the angle is just extreme.

I thought maybe that was the point of it?

If not, cool effect anyway, that the shadow doesn't have petals, like I said, I figured this was part of the picture.

It looks pretty cool...i think it would be neater with no petals on the flower, but with petals in the shadow
