A primary partition is for an OS to install to. Generally, you have 1 primary partition per drive that contains an OS.
An extended partition what contains the logical partitions. The extended partition can be divided into more than 1 logical partition.

Just make 1 60G primary partition. Partition the rest as an extended partition and after that, partition the whole extended partition as logical partition. That's how I would do it.
