Can't install Windows Server 2003

I am running the Windows Server 2003 Web Edition setup and every time I get past the press F2 for Automated System Recovery, setup says
An unexpected error (0) occured at
line 1819 in d:\srv03rtm\base\boot\setup\arcdisp.c.
Press any key to continue.
Pressing a key shows absolutely no response. I've tried 2 different IDE CDROM drives and the original install disk plus 2 burned copies and I get the same error every time.
The computer is a old Dell with a Pentium 3 1Ghz, 512megs of noname PC133 SDRAM, two IDE harddrives(both western digital: one 120 gig, one 40 gig), some old nvidia 32meg AGP video card.
This computer was running slackware just fine. I used the Western Digital harddrive utility to partition and format the drives to NTFS, then tried to install and got this error. I've reseated EVERYTHING, checked all the cables twice, and as I mentioned I attempted installing from multiple discs on multiple drives. I'm running memtest now and will post results.
Any ideas?

That's good, I guess.
