Power to PC - nothing else!
Our office file server(a 3 month old PC, XP home sp2, 80 gb HD, Network 8 PCs) - just stopped working.
My boss said that it just turned off - though the power light is still on - there is no other indication of it being on. Om power on, the light turns on, and the keyboard lights flash, and that's it.
There are no Beeps on startup - um, No startup!!
It is important that we backup the files that have been created since the last backup (a month ago), as they contain Documents needed to get our funding (Community Arts charity).
Can anyone help, please!?

Since it's only 3 months old and an office machine, I presume it's a prebuilt jobby and in that case still under warranty. If that's the case even opening your computer up can void your warranty. I would suggest calling the company you bought it from for service.
Can't be RAM or Video, there are most certainly always beep error codes when these components fail. It's either the CPU, motherboard or PSU itself.
If this isn't a prebuilt from Dell or somebody like that and you can open your case without voiding any warranty then post back and we'll take the next step.
Not SO urgent now, I pulled the HD and slaved it to another PC, and transferred the shared files to that one.
So before I take it back (is still under warranty - if not, statutory rights (UK) will cover it I think), is there anything else to check?
