Nothing showing up in your log.

    Download and run this tool.
    http://www.jayloden.com/AIMFix.exe

Please run these two online scans.
Make sure they are set to clean automatically:

    http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

    http://www.pandasoftware.com/activescan/com/activescan_principal.htm

If there are files that can not be removed by the scans please include that information in your next post.

Let me know if anything was found and if there is any change.

    ran aimfix. No result
ran the trend micro virus scan it found nothing
ran the panda virus scan it found the w32/gaobot.batch virus. which it removed.

I still have the virus however. i still get aim putting up that away message. and my ctrl + alt + del still won't work.

    thanks for responding so quickly.

Did you just download Aimfix today? If not, download it again, it was updated just today.

Reboot your computer into Safe Mode

    Run Aimfix in Safe Mode.

If that still does not fix your problem then we need to get a better look at the files on your computer.

    Download the following file:

    http://www.thatcomputerguy.us/downloads/finditnt2000xp.zip

and unzip the contents to a folder. When it has unzipped, open that folder and double click on Find.bat. It will run for a while, so be patient, and then produce a log (ignore any File not found messages on the screen, it should continue anyway).

Please copy and paste that log here.

Please post a new hijackthis log also.
