Windows Emulator for Install Logging
I am wondering if there is an actual piece of software that does ALL of the following:
1. Records every change to a shared file and every new file installed.
2. Records everything regarding an install.
3. Takes control of an install and allows the user to specify where any of the new install files should go.
Forgive my ignorance but shouldn't it be possible to completely record an install in a fake windows setting, change any part of the install to my liking (but not to the point of decompiling the program), and then install the program using my changes??
