Ok upgraded to a DFI Lanparty NF3 and tried to install my m-audio revo 5.1 cant get it to work right. IT comes up with an ! on it in the device manager saying it cannot start. So i try diff pci slot same issue. Do another fresh install of Xp, Same problem, Install a Phillips acoustic edge, Same issue. WTF is going on? BOTH of these cards worked on my last mobo

alsto tried a Audigy 2 zs and a install of windows 2k still no work

When i try to install the drives with the audigy i get a BSOD with IRQ not less or equal

OK, my money's on the fact that your sound card is having an IRQ conflict with another device. I can't remember how to solve it exactly, but that's usually the problem (I hope someone else can remember how to fix IRQ conflicts).

As for your sound not going through all the speakers, check the settings on it (the onboard sound). Is it a Realtek Audio? If so, you may have a little icon in the bottom-right corner of the desktop that should let you adjust the sound settings.

IT finds it installs it and says " device cannot start up "

Are you running SP2? Have you disabled onboard sound on the BIOS?
