Microsoft Turns Off SP2 Install Prevention

According to Lockergnome April 12th is the day when Windows XP or Windows XP SP1 will be automatically updated to XP SP2 whether you want it to or not. This however would seem to be a little exaggerated.

It turns out that it is only the tool that was made available upon SP2's original release, that allows you to prevent Auto Update from downloading SP2, that will expire on April 12th. If you turn off Auto Update, SP2 will still not be downloaded or installed.
