Windows xp, and its a desktop

Hello
I posted to the highjack forum and was told what to do. I went through the steps of getting rid of stuff in safe mode(got highjacked) and after I rebooted my computer became non-responsive. I'm on another computer at the moment. Thanks to anyone that could help me out.

Here was my original

Ok, my computer will not start back up correctly. I followed all the steps and after I was done in safe mode I rebooted and now it's really slow. Its just not responding. No icons are on the desktop, there is a minimized box that has a c-drive symbol with hp support or help (can't remember) next to it on the bottom of the desktop. There are a few small icons near the clock, but no norton icons. I'm on another computer now, (i was trying to fix my dad's).

Thanks.

I did the f10, system setup deal, then it goes to the screen where it says something like "configure your computer to the last good startup." The only problem is my arrow buttons don't work and I can't select that option. Looks like I'm dead meat. It's my dad's computer. Thanks in advanced.

Have you checked the hardware (ie RAM, HDD, FDD, mobo, CPU, etc)? To be honest, if everything is running slow and if you can find that it's not software related, it may be a dying HDD.
