Sound issues due to keyboard?

After adjusting the volume level via the dial on the wireless MX Duo keyboard I have, the sound on my computer has now completely adjusted itself so that full volume now occurs when the dial is set to 1/4 of full volume.

This is a little hard to explain, so bear with me. Ultimately, the max volume has been set to operate at 1/4 volume almost. If I turn it up to maximum volume with the sound settings, I have to turn my speakers all the way up in order to make anything loud enough to hear. The maximum and minimum spectrums have like...flip flopped.:scratch:

Please help!

Well, I updated both the mouseware and itouch controls after trying to fiddle with both and see if something could be reset. Nothing seemed to work until I tried unclicking "night mode" in the nvMixer control panel. Every time I successively clicked and unclicked the button, the volume got quieter and quieter until it reached its normal volume. I turned the dial back up to max, and as far as I can tell it has been acting the way it should. So, just like it happened, I have no idea how I really fixed it.

    Go go gadget luck.

With my MX Duo, whenever buttons start screwing up, I follow Logitech's instructions to remove the batteries from the keyboard, and then type on the keys for 2 minutes to release any residual charge in the electronics. After that, you just reinsert the batteries, reboot, and all has been well. This is for button mis-assignments, reversed operation (as you experienced), or button non-operation at all. I hope this helps in the future.

    Good Luck,

Wow, i think i'd rather go through 4 hurricanes then have to do that everytime my keyboard messes up.. that adds to my list of reasons why i don't want a wireless mouse or keyboard.

I've owned a logitech keyboard and mouse for two years; not only has it been using the same set of batteries, I've never had to do that.

You can scratch it off your list of reasons.

Yea, I've only had to do it once myself. I had a buggered iTouch install which screwed the whole thing up. But, it fixed it and that's why I brought it up. Otherwise, everytime I have to use a wired mouse or keyboard it feels really weird. And by the way, like Thrax, I haven't replaced my keyboard batteries for over a year and a half either.

But in the same breath i'm sure there are enought people with horror stories. I've always like the term, K.I.S.S (keep it simple stupid). Cause i'm sure i'd be the one to get the wireless key/mouse that runs as long as my cell phone does. (all 24 hours or it)
