Why is it they arent using 64 bit linux distro for the Intel 64 bit Processors?

Look again. Both cpu's were ran in 32 and 64 bit OS modes.

As mentioned, there's nothing new hardware-wise here except for the CPUs that I'm testing. I have rebuilt my testing software on two separate disks, one is for AMD and the other is for Intel. Each drive has two Gentoo installs, one 32-bit install and one 64-bit install. This gives us a look at each processor running in both 32-bit and 64-bit modes. Also, it allows me to optimize each install, compiling each OS and software specifically for the architecture that we're running on.

Point is Intel lost both ways. 32 and 64 bit modes

The real interestng thing I noticed was that as expected, AMD performance was better in 64 but unexpectedly Intel did worse in 64 than they did in 32.
