win xp setup

edited March 2005 in Science & Tech
I'm having trouble getting win xp setup to recognize my raid setup. I configured the array in the bios and selected raid in the setup. After pressing F6 during xp installation it loads the driver (winxp sata raid driver) off the floppy and says "setup will load the driver" then it gives me the option of pressing "s" again to load more drivers or hitting "enter" to continue setup. When I hit enter it contiues but on the partition screen it says "no discs in drive" I'm not sure why the drive's aren't showing up. Any help would be appreciated!

I'd check and see if there's a newer driver for the raid controller at ASUS' website.

Its not saying that it didnt find a hard disk. "no disks in drive?"

It halts and says it didnt find a hard disk to install to if the driver isnt loaded.

It sounds like he needs to create a partition here guys.

in the box that should list my partition optins it actually says "there is no disk in this drive" and if i "continue" with out setting up a partion it goes to a blue screen that says "a problem has been detected and windows is shutting down..." and the problem file is listed as: setupdd.sys
