What type DVD media

I just bought a Sony DVD-/+RW

I want to ahem "backup" some of my DVDs... what kind of media should i buy? I want to play them on my home dvd player....

it lists mine ( toshiba sd-1600) and says it supports DVD+R(W)

so thats what i bought

btw, office depot is a rip off

good link. I just upgraded my burner from a - to a +- and it says my apex 1200 and 1500's will play +RW. I thought all hope was lost for me to use rw's.
