I just put this system together today

Lanparty Ultra -D UT Mobo NF4
2 x 512 Geil ddr400 mem
Athlon xp 64 3000+
Msi 6600GT Vid card 128mb
480 Thermaltek truepower

I'm not new at putting comps together so i just built this system i set it up and then booted it and its boots fine one beep from the speaker and it shows the lanparty logo but with horizontal lines accros it.

Once past the logo i can see the regular start up that shows memry tests and all but its complete jiberish i go into the bios but it too is all jiberish and currupt text.

is the vid card fubared? i tried looking for support on their website but I can't find any

I cleared the bios and no change, i tried it on another pci-express slot and still same problem

to me that is a vid card overheating, or vid card memory going bad.

open case use floor fan, then see what happens

the case is nice and cool and this is on start up, i'm thinking that the video card came bad

i don't have another computer to check it on but i have a gut feeling its the card so i'm probably gonna RMA it. What happens if i RMA it and it works? do they just send it back to me?

i think it depends on who u have to send it to, i dont think newegg cares, they will just send a new one when they get that 1, the manufacturer probly runs all sorts of tests on RMA's
