Winchester

I hope this is not to dumb of a question to ask, but I am still getting my feet wet here..I just got my AMD 3200+ 64 Winchester today from New Egg. How do I know it is a Winchester and not a Newcastle. Do I just trust New Egg?

    The top line of the CPU code ends in DIK4BI.

    Actually all you need is the "BI" to be certain it is a Winnie. :D

    Thank you Thrax, thank you mtgoat. The top line on the cpu ends with DIK4BI. Now I can get a good nights sleep..... :thumbsup::thumbsup:

    There are no 3200+ Newcastles i think.
