can't get online any which way ?????
Please help me....I am helping my father-in-law fix his computer.
I have been trying to fix this extremely messed up system, to no avail.
I would run your 'hijack this' to get a log, but I can't even get it to stay on the same page. Therefore, I can't get it to go online.
I put in my aol, trying to get on with aol software. I got on once and got kicked off. It said it detected a firewall, which he doesn't have, or we probably wouldn't have this problem.
Anyway, I click on the internet explorer, homepage set to home.bellsouth.net. It will not go anywhere you tell it to. It just wants to redirect to badgurl.grandstreetinteractive.com. I saw in another thread this is a problem.
Is there anyway to help me without me having to get the computer online? I am at home talking with you now. I appreciate any help you can give. He is driving me up the perverbial wall. lol thanks in advance.

You can always save the hijackthis log to a disk and then transfer it to another computer to post it here. It's a lot of work I know, but it's an option.
Do you think this would help? He doesn't have important stuff on the computer. He just uses it to play games and look up stuff on the web.
I appreciate any help. I hate to purchase these cds on ebay if they wouldn't even work. If you get my drift.
