Unable to turn anything in
entropy
Yah-Der-Hey (Wisconsin)
This is ridiculous. About two months ago, I started folding quite a bit again. I got a few thousand points I think. Then one day, I noticed absolutely NOTHING was turning in. I kept trying, but no go. The server it was trying was perfectly fine, too. Eventually I got so frustrated I didn't care and stopped folding again. But I'm trying to start up again. So I want those few thousand points sitting here.
So what can I do? It's been since January 30th that this thing hasn't gone. I think there's two in each of my folding instances, and probably one or two on the other computer (though I'm not sure). If I can't get this, I'm done. Any help?

It runs that last paragraph over and over and over. I can work on new stuff, but I'd like to turn those in.
You'd probably have to open those ports on your router. A quick an easy way to check and see if the router is the cause of the problem is to put one of the computers in the "DMZ" (Linksys' term) or whatever exposes a machine to the Internet. If it works, you'll want to mess around with the port settings so you don't leave yourself wide open permanently. An even easier way would be to temporarily hook one computer straight to your cable/DSL modem and bypass the router altogether.
I'd try these one at a time, just so you'll know the exact cause of the problem.
Prof - nothing worked. At all.
This is getting stupid... I would be willing to fold more, but if this idiotic thing won't work, then I won't (and probably can't).
Do you use EM3? If you do there should be a circle with 3 or 4 in the middle of it saying there are 3 or 4 WUs to send in.
I have a similar problem at work, we use a proxy that only allows port 80 traffic. I'm surprised that stanford didn't select a more common port for returning WUs. The incoming WUs come in without any issues on port 80
Is there any way to force port-80 result uploads?
