Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory

edited March 2005 in Gaming
Anyone else play the demo yet (on either PC or XBox)?

The UI is pretty different (not sure I like it as much as the original). What the hell is with the mission-briefing menu thing before you’re dropped into the level? It looks like something they would have used in a game 10 years ago! :shakehead

The "training movies" blow compared to the REAL training missions you used to be able to do in the first two games. I'm not sure if these are only in place in the demo. God I hope so.

The graphics are MUCH better this time around (especially on the PC)! There's much more of an emphasis on dynamic lighting, as well as plenty of other things the next-gen video cards can do as well (pixel shader 3.0 is fully supported).

I'm looking forward to this one, and I'm not a big fan of stealth games. I never finished the first one, but Pandora Tomorrow was excellent.

OXM rated CT 9.9, which is their highest score ever. Higher than Halo 2 even.

Neither of the first two games managed to hold my interest until the halfway point... :o
