    Start -> Run

    Type "cmd" and hit enter

    At the prompt, type "ping xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" filling in the IP address for the 'x's, obviously. That should ping it with 4 packets and tell you how fast it pinged and if any of the packets were lost.

    The easiest way, Trojan, would be to bring up the command prompt though Start>Run>"cmd" and typing in "ping 83.142.27.226". There are flags you should add to the end to get a substantial number and average, but I don't know them. Just typing it by itself gets the trick done.

    Edit: Lost on the quickdraw. :(

    I'm at work at the moment but I'll ping it later (Wednesday, early afternoon) after I get up. Can't do much at all on this steam driven PC, it's only slightly faster than carrier pigeon.

    Why are Shortys results more consistant than Trogans and mine? Has he tweaked NTLs servers? Wonder if he'd do ours?
