WoW Sound Issues
I don't know how to fix this. When playing WoW I only get 'some' of the sounds. IE. I can hear the hits on the mobs, but I can't hear footsteps, music, and background noise.
I'm using Audigy II ZS Gamer, newest drivers. Only way I was able to get around this was to access DirectX and on the sound tab, lower the hardware performance down to standard or low.
Is there a way I can use my card to its fullest?
Let me know if you need more information.

For example, when I have my DirectX sound settings set to full perfomance I can only hear footsteps and not ambience. As soon as I set DirectX sound to standard or low, I can hear my footsteps and the ambience sounds. This has nothing to do with ingame sound options. I've tried those many many times.
Thanks for your response though!
But in the game there should be slid bars with Ambient sounds, music and some other types of sounds that you can turn up and down.
DirectX includes the DirectSound libraries which interfaces with almost every sound-producing application on your computer.
I hoped it wasn't that :bawling:
Have to wait for new drivers :bawling:
Ding Ding!
This was an EAX problem. I disabled the EAX sound effects. I'm using the equalizer now, sounds just as good. I can use my soundcard to its fullest now. :Pwned:
