Hi,
this place does some good cheap moded cases with a 400 watt generic psu
http://www.uc-solutions.co.uk/asp/product.asp?product=737&ph=search&keywords=case&recor=1&SearchFor=any&PT_ID=all
they have other models available.
i have the terrabyte alien but the others look just as good and are real practicle and plenty room for modding for the price.
this is the inside of the alien
now a cheap case is different. you might scrap your knuckles a little, but it should be fine. the one thing to look for is bending or buldging of the frame where the psu sits. make sure that a decent weight psu won't bend the frame and crush components on the motherboard. also cheap cases are great for modding, if you are into that kinda thing.
so here are my recomendations....keep in mind that i would NOT use the psu that came with the cases below, but since that is what you asked for....
ASYS BLK w/ side window and 450w
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=11-195-010&depa=1
POWMAX GRY/BLK w/ side window and 450w
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=11-145-049&depa=1
personally i would do something like this....
skyhawk silver case with 2 x 120mm spots
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=11-117-033&depa=1
antec 400w psu
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=17-103-912&depa=1
then i would cut out the stamped fan grills w/ a dremel, cut out a rectangle and use some modder's mesh (gutter mesh) to create a nice intake spot for the front fan, relocate the power/reset buttons, and throw in some 75cfm+ 120mm fans and fan guards.
then you would have a resonable-priced setup with excellent cooling and a quality psu.
i will post a pic of a similar case that i have done the same mod to in a little while once i find my digicam.
very quiet !
Personally I'd no more post a true cheap case (say sub $80) with a PSU than I'd post a good choice of pistol to commit suicide with, I personally think both are very wrong. Cheap PSU's kill perfectly good components by sending poorly regulated voltages and currents out into the PC and that's a bad thing on so many levels.
When it comes to your PC and you're spending a few hundred to several hundred dollars to build it why build it so that the power button also doubles as the time-bomb button? Get a quality PSU and take the time-bomb out of the equation.
Just my 2 cents worth.
Just as an alternative, I've had decent luck with the RAIDMAX line. I wouldn't use it if you have gobs of HD's or any other power-hungry devices, though.
Overall, it's better to hold out and get the best Case/PSU you can. I offer my suggestion mainly because it fits the definition "cheap".
You can do a search for Raidmax at Newegg and see what I mean.
Price is $62.99
It looks pretty rad!
I think you have to live near a frys though.

It's a little too plain for my taste.
Even though the price tag is kind of "up there", it's def. worth the money, the quality is amazing.
