Well, it was a good run. I've been OUSTED of the top 3 by the mighty KINGFISH - who it appears is NOT slowing down at all. Watch out csimon, you're gonna feel the wrath soon! :rarr:

Yeah congrats KINGFISH. He deserves the top position IMO ...when he catches me that is! Hehe :fold:

Meantime I'm looking forward to a 2mil milestone thread (in 30 days) from prof and a new star system that doesn't peter out after 1mil !!! :rarr:

Definitely no holding you back KF. Congrats.

Thanks prime! It's bittersweet as I know it was one of your long term goals. I hate to take it from you but it's onward and upward. It's time to try to make the run to #1, I'm coming for ya cs. Don't worry, it'll take more than a year at this rate and things change quite a bit in a years time. In the meantime I'll settle in at #3, I'll be here quite a while unless the handbrake pulls another stunt like add another 10 hyperthreading computers.

I doubt it'll take a year really. According to this 320 days but it might be 300 by tomorrow ...not very accurate at that distance. I'll race ya to 3mil though! hehe
    :smokin:
I honestly think you'll beat me there but it'll be fun.
I also hope you're aware that you've also made it into the top 100 at stanford! :fold: And so did brian ...congrats to you both!

At first I thought no way. The thought has been growing on me lately. I looked at some stats and saw that you would be 350k ahead of me when you reached 3 mil. I think I can make up the difference, so you're on. Would you like to wager?

You won't get it easily. You'll have to take it by brute force. In the meantime, look what's coming up behind you. You have an Aussie hot on your trail. I think your #4 position may be going the way of the kangaroo unless you act fast. They are brutal with the competition.

Well, csimon, what's the word? Is the heavyweight bout on or not? Prof needs his fight card filled.....

lol ...you're lucky my screen is corrupt!
of course it's a heavy weight bout ...and I don't plan on adding much anytime soon.
so name your arsenal ...can you name all of your processors?

Let the first place position be my wager for now ...I'll think up something meantime like maybe turning over a few wu's under some other name for a specific time or something like that.
Do you think you're ready for the top notch yet? I mean all these ppl bowing to you all of the time while you try and remain reserved? ;D

meanwhile my humble team ...let the games begin! :smokin:

Same name, first to 3 mil wins, simple as that. I could rename about 90% of my procs but it would be a very time consuming task. Doing this under different names would definitely be unfair to you as I have more production than you anyway.

You have a huge lead on me and at the current rates of production you would land the 3 mil first. The name of the game is adding production for me. I have a battle plan that calls for more troops and artillery but I don't know if it'll be enough to overcome your huge lead and any variables like any future added production by you.

I think it'll be fun and add production for the team at the same time. It won't be a short contest by any means, this will take the better part of a year to play out. Plenty of time for strategizing, organizing, assaulting, and watching the battle plan unfold.

I'm thinking of crawfish as a fair wager. Loser buys the other crawfish. I like mine spicy. I'm open to suggestions though, just a thought.

oh man i need to find another 30 computers because I LOVE CRAWFISH and I live very very far away from crawfish. It's like a rare delicacy here :rarr:

You take it to us to 3 mil before either of us and you got it! I can cook 'em myself or choose from a couple of great places to dine on them all-you-can-eat.

If you turn on the news and see a story about a crazed lunatic holed up in an office building in Westlake, Ohio, moving from computer to computer with a Folding CD in his hand, don't worry - it's just me.

I love crawdads (as we call them here). :D

Good luck to all of you.

So it's officially on eh? Loser buys the other crawfish (not to be confused with the smaller yankee cousins, crawdads). I'll notify the troops immediately. Let the bayou brawl begin...
