edited March 2005 in Hardware
I am experiancing instability with my new rig
mobo............ Abit AN7 Guru nForce2 Ultra 400fsb 8xAGP DDR400
cpu................ AMD Athalon XP3000+ 400Mhz FSB 512 L2 Cache BArton
ram............... 2x Crucial CT6464z40b 512Mb DDR 400Mhz PC3200
hdd......... ......Seagate ST380013AS 80GB SATA Barracuda
gpu................PNY Verto GeForce 6 6600GT AGP8x 128MB GDDR3
cd/dvd-rw......Benq DW1620 16x Dvd R/RW Dual Layer Int IDE OEM
psu.................Tagan TG480-U01

I have posted another thread in the emergency help forum and some advice I have received seems to indicate an incompatability between gpu and mobe
I wondered if anyone else has experianced similar issues....?

Or has any advice.....?
Help!!!

well the AN7 is widely held to be a total piece of junk, so it really wouldn't surprise me if incompatibility was your problem. its not like that kind of thing hasn't happened before. let me go read your emergency help thread though

EDIT: wierd! is there any way you can try this with a new video card? other things I would recommend trying are a fresh format and running memtest86+ if you haven't already (in fact, make memtest your priority)
