Overclocking a p4 2.4C?
Hi, I'm totally new to overclocking and haven't do it before. My system specs are: Asus p4p800SE, p4 2.4C, 2X512mb GEIL value dual channel memory, ati radeon 9800 pro, seagate 160 gig, antec sx1040BX case 400W.
How can i go about overclocking my system, I don't want to overclock too much, up to 2700-2800 is good on air cooling. I already try the AI overclocking in the bios, but it had the FSB:RAM division thing, I"m not sure what that is, 3:2. The FSB was at 166, and I find it slower somewhat. What's the best way to overclock and get the best performance. I only try AI overclock to 10%. Can I manually overclocking and set the FSB rather.

Yep, thats what I currently do, my 2.4 is overclocked to 3.3g (276) but the ram only runs at 220fsb using the 5:4 divider. Plus running the ram that slow allows me to enable PAT which is extra performance boost.
