powersupply question

I have an antec neopower480. Just today my computer started shutting down whenever i tried to power them on. After troubleshooting, I found out the 3.3v rail on the power supply was fluctuating at 2.8-2.91. that was the only thing in the bios that looked odd. Temperatures were fine and all other rails were ok. Funny thing is I let it sit there for a while and then turned it on about 5-6 hours later and the rail is reading 2.96-3 now. Now my question. Should I still RMA it or do you think there was a fluke in my circuit somewhere. Earlier I tried turning off all other electronic devices on the same circuit off but it didnt' help. The computer couldn't be overheating because I just turned it on. I'm debating whether to RMA it or wait to see if it happens again. It's been stable for about a month and then just today it started acting up. any ideas would be greatly appreciated:)

Intermittent faults are the worse kind. In my experience if a circuit has a fault it NEVER goes away for good. If there's a fault it will come back and bite you. RMA it.

I had a similar problem with my old Antec TruePower 430. The 5V rail had somehow drooped to 4.1 volts. My hard drives kept spinning up and spinning down, stability was impacted heavily.

I got a new one without a problem, however the RMA process took a long time (over a month), which did not impress me much. I am in Canada though, so that does make a difference.

    Good luck
