Right now I have Three computers upstairs hooked to an SMC Barricade 7004ABR router. I need to add a computer and a probably a printer downstairs at the other end of the house. Do I have to get a new wireless router or is it possible to get wireless in there somewhere??
If it is possible how do I do it and I need some recommendations on what brands/models are the better ones.

not 100% positive but i think your going to have to get a new router. get the new wireless router and hook up the existing pc with cat5 cable then use a wirless card for the comp downstairs. Sometimes the router comes with 1 wirless card so you wont have to spend money on that unless you want more computer hooked up downstairs. On router brands i usally go for D-Link or Linksys.

You can just plug a Wireless Access Point into your existing router, like this one:

That one runs around $60 US.

The reality is though, that this will cost you as much or more than a new wireless router will. It will be cheaper in the long run to just switch to a wireless router.
