Earthlink Launches VPN Service

edited April 2005 in Science & Tech
EarthLink Inc. on Monday launched a virtual private network service that targets small and midsize businesses looking for secure network access for traveling workers and employees working from home or remote offices.
The Atlanta-based Internet service provider is offering both client-based and web-based VPN products, which are powered by Positive Networks, a provider of managed remote access services.

The EarthLink VPNLink client provides network access to remote computers. The VPN WebLink product provides access through any computer with a web browser.

The service, which is offered on a subscription basis starting at $100 a month, provides access to corporate-network resources, such as file sharing, applications, e-mail and a company's intranet.

what a total ripoff. You can buy a hot-ass sonicwall TZ170 for under $600 that'll do the same thing, and then you own the damned thing.

Or as an alternative I'll set up a quick VPN for you for 100 bucks. You don't get to keep me though.
