same ol stuff (cant see sata hd)

i installed raid drivers, and this SAM program can see the drive, but i cant see it in the drive management. i just did this on my friends comp! but i cant seem to get it workin on mine =\... and someone said i need to partition the drive, i cant seem to figure that one out without using something run in windows.

    drive management is where you would see it and partition it. You didnt mention what controller it is but some have differant drivers for single drives versus raided drives. This is a single drive right?

    Make sure you also have the latest drivers for it. The ones that came with the motherboard are usually way out of date by the time you buy it.

    i have an ASUS K8N-E deluxe, and a maxtor 160 sata, i got the drivers off the website, and they make my computer restart by itself after windows loads for a few seconds. Also, my raid utility sees the drive, but thats it, im gonna try to use the disk as bootable and see what happens from there... ARRRRRGH
