jtm ...
all you have to do is make another folder the same what you did the first.
configure it the same way except change the advanced settings and make the final setting machineID=2.
There you have it.
Folding does support dual processors, you just need 2 instances of the client (it can be 1 graphical and 1 console, or 2 console, but not 2 graphical instances) in 2 different folders. When you set up each one, you go into advanced options and select machine id = 1 for the first and machine id = 2 for the second. Each one will run on a seperate processor.
You can potentially have 8 seperate clients running on a single machine at one time with the "Machine ID" designation. Let us know if you still need help with anything and thanks for wanting to participate!
I figured there was a way.. Why waste all this processing power of dual opteron 250s I wish this program was more memory dominant, I get 11GB/s on Sisoft Sandra.
I've got an Abit BP6 dual processor system running 2 seperate folding programs. There is a guide in this forum somewhere about how to set it up, and it was detailed enough for someone as hard headed as I am to figure it out.
I don't remember the topic title, search for posts that I responded to in the last 3 months here and you'll be able to track it down.
I suggested that it be made a sticky, but no one did it.
You'll need an operating system that supports dual processors like XP Pro or 2000. Or the Linux versions.

//edit: good catch, csimon, you beat me to it!

The way I have mine set up is like this.
d:\f@h\f@h1 = machineID=1
d:\f@h\f@h2 = machineID=2
d:\f@h\f@h3 = machineID=3
d:\f@h\f@h4 = machineID=4
They all have the identical configuration with the exception of the machineID.
